Kristy Marcard
As a child, my two career ambitions were to become a UN interpreter and a travel writer. Neither of those went according to plan, but I think they tell you something about me as a person.
My formal education is in literature and journalism, translation and intercultural communication. My informal education is the experience of life in five countries, where I tasted firsthand the embarrassments, difficulties and triumphs of communication – this thing we take for granted. After having provided trainings for and worked with intercultural groups in volunteer capacities for over 20 years, I shifted my focus professionally to doing what motivates me most and puts my journey to best use: helping people connect.
